HW236206T Teak Ondato from the Elegante Veneers collection brings warmth, texture and dimension to a striking circular island bar within this contemporary hospitality suite. Designed by Space Invader and delivered by specialist fit-out company Dawnvale, the bespoke bar forms a central feature within the interior.
A circular centrepiece
Positioned at the heart of the hospitality suite, the circular island bar provides a natural focal point, with seating arranged around its perimeter. The sweeping bar front is wrapped in HW236206T Teak Ondato Elegante Veneers, bringing the character of wood into the centre of the scheme. Its warm tones contrast with the pale stone countertop and darker metal detailing. Ondato's sleek, wave-like profile creates a rhythmic, sculptural surface, introducing movement and tactile depth as it follows the circular form of the bar.
The flexibility of the sheet format allows Ondato to follow the curved bar frontage, while its three-dimensional profile transforms the joinery into a distinctive timber feature. The finished application demonstrates how Elegante can bring the warmth and character of genuine wood to architectural details beyond the floor.
Elegante: timber beyond the floor
Elegante Veneers combine genuine wood with a stable, engineered construction, opening up possibilities for bespoke joinery, furniture and architectural detailing.
The three-dimensional surfaces are made using reconstituted Italian ALPI veneer from Ayous trees, a fast-growing species that provides a grain-neutral timber which can be coloured and processed to replicate different timber species. Supplied in lightweight sheets, Elegante provides a colour-consistent, flexible surface solution for a wide range of interior applications.
