A North Wales Design Story

Sunnyvale Holiday Park
Located on the North Wales coast, Sunnyvale Holiday Park is a long-established, family-run luxury holiday park. Tasked with refreshing the reception, lounge, and client meeting areas, Claire Willicombe of Lillieum sought a surface material that could deliver consistency, and practical durability. Havwoods’ HW2504 Marne, part of the PurePlank Collection, provided the perfect solution.
With its rich natural tone and refined grain, the engineered board sets a calm, contemporary tone throughout the space. Its stable, hardwearing nature made it ideal for the high footfall of hospitality interiors, grounding the design in a material that could meet the needs of both aesthetics and performance.
Pureplank Solution
The real design impact came from how Havwoods flooring was used beyond the floor. Claire adapted the Marne planks as panelling and custom-built ceiling rafts with integrated lighting, achieving continuity across the design. This approach brought depth and texture to the scheme while strengthening the overall identity of the interior.
The consistent application of a single material helped unify the space, while maintaining a connection to the natural surroundings of the park.
For Claire, working with Havwoods offered flexibility and quality, making it possible to take a single product and turn it into a complete design language for Sunnyvale’s communal spaces.
